Love is not lost - it's just for sale!

A short story for you to enjoy featuring the esteemed appearances of the SIS staff while on a visit to London...

As the sun began to descend over the River Thames, the incessant ringing of a mobile phone could be heard... Ring, ring. Ring, ring... Ring, ring. Ring, ring...

Jackson. Answer. Your. Phone.

Jackson: 'Hello?'
Robotic Voice: 'I have a mission for you. You must complete it by the time the sun sets over the River Thames or all love will be lost forever.'
Jackson: 'Cool voice distorter machine Alli.'
Robotic Voice: 'Jackson! You're ruining the effect.'
Jackson: 'No, no. It's still cool.'
Robotic Voice: 'No, it's not anymore. I'm turning it off.'
Alli [in normal voice]: Sell the extra tickets for Love's Labour's Lost please. We have too many spares and we need to do this before the show starts (which coincidentally is when the sun sets... clever, very clever suspense/timing strategy).

And the sun's edge began to meet with the water's horizon. [gasp!] Time is of the essence!

Jackson: 'Sure, no problem. I have a plan. Get Martin to sell them.'
Alli: 'Good plan.'
Jackson smiled in satisfaction.
And so Martin set off to sell tickets for Love to random passing strangers.
Well, ok, so that was the intention - and good intentions are the best intentions right? Right! But, yeah, you guessed it - we didn't sell a single ticket. We ended up giving them all away.

And then the sun set and the battle was lost - if it hadn't already been lost five minutes earlier when we handed all the tickets out.

Martin and Jackson stared off into the distance in awe and agony at the loss of Love for not a single penny. The face of agony is on the left actually here in this picture [see Martin]; awe is on the right represented by Jackson.

The end.
