'Playing it Posh' at The Ebury

The honeymoon's nearly over - my boss will return from her holiday soon. So of course, I had to kick it into full gear and actually start doing some work, the three days of blissful boredom was indeed wonderful though. Friday saw me trying to finalise the copy for a programme that is going out - unfortunately, in my current arrogant state, I thought I would be able to skive off early on Friday and make it for dinner plans at Wagamama for 6pm.

No such luck. I was definitely in the office until 7.30pm hoping to sign-off on final proofs (it didn't happen). That meant my Wagamama dinner that I was so looking forward to had to be cancelled in order to make it to another committment (drinks this time) at The Ebury. I had no idea what I was getting into.

Boy oh boy, this is another venue to go on that list of 'Very special places', because frankly, I know I shouldn't have been at a place like this and I know that really it's just for the kick of living out some strange princess fantasy (no signs of Wills and Kate this time though).

First indication that this was way out of my league - we got off at Sloane Square.
Second indication - the seats were either very low to the ground (to give a lounge-y feel) or far too high at the bar.
Third indication - the type of people in this place were definitely of the Wills and Kate (super posh, ie royal set). But no sign of them as previously mentioned, nor Harry. Supersigh.

The food was wonderful, the dessert was fantastic too. But I definitely wish I hadn't had my rucksack with me. But all in all, two Alli (ie very short and chubby) thumbs up.
