At the Royal Festival Hall

Who? The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra
What? A brilliant performance by an outstanding ensemble - they did three encores ladies and gentlemen - that's how much we liked them. And I especially liked that two of the encores were interactive and had us clapping a rhythm and singing along in Mandarin... yes, I realise I don't speak Mandarin, but it's a lot easier when there's music and everyone's doing it.
Where? Southbank Centre
When? Friday night
Why? They're part of the festival
