As you might have noticed, I am trying to make up for my long absence.
Hence the three posts in approximately ten minutes.
Hopefully, I will write some more too - it just depends, because right now I'm on a big reading kick and have read four books in the past ten days.
I do recommend:
'A Boy Called "It"' Dave Pelzer
An autobiographical account of a boy's really crappy childhood. I won't go into details because it makes me sad to think that this was a true story - but it was a really moving story.
'The Five People You Meet In Heaven' Mitch Alblom
Recommended to me by my cousine Maya, the true bookworm of the family. Perhaps now one of my favourite books ever.
'Running With Scissors' Augusten Burroughs
Hilarious. Also an autobiography of a kid's messed up childhood, though this one is much more quirky than it is sad. If the film is anything like the book I will have to add it to my collection.
'The Devil Wears Prada' Laura Weisberger
You've probably all seen the film, but the book is much better.
Next on my list (and likely to be done in the next two weeks, so apologies in advance for ignoring my blog):
'Atonement' Ian MacEwen
'Fever Pitch' Nick Hornby - I still have to finish reading this one, it's been sitting on the shelf for too long.
'Size 12 Is Not Fat' Meg Cabot
Do you have anything to recommend for my reading list?
N.b. You've got a lot to live up to if you recommend something; Maya holds the title Queen of Books quite close to heart.
Note to self: I really must stop reading so quickly, my budget can't really handle it even though I buy all my books from the charity shops - or maybe that's what my problem is...

The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls - it's another easy read, and I think you'll enjoy as much as I did.
Oooooo - join Good Reads! www.goodreads.com - It's terribly addicting. :)
